Terms of Service

Agreement

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the GGM8 mobile application (Android and iOS), our website and API at ggm8.app, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). GGM8 is a gaming matchmaking platform that helps players discover teammates, compare play styles, post squad calls (LFG), chat, and build in-game partnerships.

GGM8 is operated by an individual freelance developer (sole operator), not a registered company or legal entity. In these Terms, "Operator", "we", "us", and "our" refer to that individual developer.

By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use GGM8.

Eligibility & age (COPPA)

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account or use the Service.

GGM8 is not directed to children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16, in line with the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and similar laws.

If you are under 16, do not register or provide any information to us. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a user under 16, we will delete that account and associated data as soon as reasonably possible.

If you believe a user under 16 has registered, contact us at the email below so we can take action.

Your account & security

You are responsible for your account credentials and for all activity under your account. Use a strong, unique password and do not share your login. We will never ask for your password in support messages.

Information you provide during registration and while using your account must be accurate and kept up to date where possible.

If you sign in with Google, your use of Google Sign-In is also subject to Google's terms and policies. We do not receive or store your Google password.

You may maintain only one active account. Creating a new account to evade a suspension, ban, or deletion restriction is prohibited.

Removing the app from your device does not delete your account. Use Delete account in Profile settings to close your account permanently.

Community standards

GGM8 is for finding gamer teammates — not a general dating app. Use the Service respectfully and keep interactions focused on gaming.

You may not harass, threaten, bully, stalk, impersonate others, or discriminate based on protected characteristics.

You may not send spam, mass-recruit users to external servers or communities, advertise products or services, solicit payments, or run scams.

You may not post or share illegal content, sexually explicit or suggestive material, graphic violence, hate speech, or content that exploits or endangers minors (including CSAM). We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse material and may report it to authorities.

You may not cheat, exploit bugs, use bots or automated scripts, scrape the Service, reverse engineer the app, or attempt to disrupt or overload the platform.

Matchmaking scores, archetypes, and squad-fit labels are informational tools — not guarantees of skill, compatibility, or behavior. You interact with other players at your own risk.

User content

You may submit content such as profile information, game library entries, LFG posts, private chat messages, squad group chat messages, and images you upload ("User Content"). You retain ownership of your User Content.

You grant the Operator a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, display, and distribute your User Content solely to operate and improve the Service (for example showing your profile in Radar, delivering messages, or moderating reports).

You represent that you have the rights to the User Content you post and that it does not infringe third-party rights or violate law.

We may remove or restrict User Content that violates these Terms or that we reasonably believe is harmful to the community.

Moderation, reports & enforcement

You can block players and report users, Squad Calls, or chats. When you report, we may store a snapshot of recent messages and related metadata for review.

We may review reports and User Content to enforce these Terms and keep members safe. We are not obligated to monitor all activity but may take action at our discretion.

If you violate these Terms or applicable law, we may warn you, remove content, restrict features (including hiding you from discovery), suspend your account, or terminate your account permanently.

Serious violations (including threats, CSAM, fraud, or repeated abuse) may result in immediate action without prior notice. We may cooperate with law enforcement where required.

Copyright & DMCA

GGM8 respects intellectual property rights. If you believe content on the Service infringes your copyright, you may send a notice under the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) to our designated agent:

Your notice should include: (1) identification of the copyrighted work; (2) identification of the infringing material and its location on the Service; (3) your contact information; (4) a statement of good-faith belief that use is not authorized; (5) a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and you are authorized to act; and (6) your physical or electronic signature.

We may remove or disable access to material that is the subject of a valid DMCA notice. Repeat infringers may have their accounts terminated. If you believe material was removed in error, you may submit a counter-notification as permitted by the DMCA.

Third-party services & links

The Service may link to or integrate with third-party platforms (for example Steam, Discord, Google Sign-In, or game services). Those services are operated by third parties and are not under our control.

Your use of third-party services is subject to their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party content, availability, or conduct.

You are responsible for any fees charged by your internet or mobile provider when using the Service, including data or roaming charges.

Purchases

In-app purchases and subscriptions are currently disabled in GGM8. If we enable paid features in the future, purchases will be processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store (as applicable), and billing, refunds, and subscription management will be governed by that store's policies.

Virtual items or cosmetics, if offered later, will have no real-world cash value unless explicitly stated and permitted by applicable law.

Disclaimer of warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant uninterrupted, secure, or error-free operation, or that matchmaking results will meet your expectations.

We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. You may need to install app updates to continue using certain features.

Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE OPERATOR OF GGM8 WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE OPERATOR'S TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO GGM8 IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (USD $100).

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by law. Nothing in these Terms limits liability where it cannot be limited by law (including fraud or willful misconduct).

You acknowledge that online interactions with other players carry inherent risks. The Operator is not responsible for the conduct of users on or off the platform.

Termination

You may delete your account at any time from Profile → settings menu (⋯) → Delete account. Google-only accounts may delete without a password where supported.

We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, if we must comply with law, or if we discontinue the Service.

Upon termination, your access to the Service ends. Some content (for example squad chat archives) may remain subject to our Privacy Policy retention rules.

Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including user content licenses granted for past operation, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law) will survive.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Slovakia and applicable European Union law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory consumer protection laws in your country of residence provide otherwise.

If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, competent courts in Slovakia shall have jurisdiction, unless mandatory law in your jurisdiction requires a different forum.

Nothing in these Terms requires you to waive non-waivable rights under applicable consumer or data protection law.

Changes

We may update these Terms when features, laws, or business practices change. Material changes will be communicated in the app or by email where appropriate.

Continued use after the effective date of updated Terms means you accept the revised Terms. If you do not agree, stop using the Service and delete your account.
