Rules for using GGM8
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the GGM8 mobile application and related services (the "Service"). GGM8 is a gaming matchmaking platform that helps players discover teammates, compare play styles, post squad calls (LFG), chat, and build in-game partnerships.
GGM8 is operated by an individual freelance developer (sole operator), not a registered company or legal entity. In these Terms, "Operator", "we", "us", and "our" refer to that individual developer.
By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use GGM8.
You must be at least 16 years old to create an account or use the Service.
GGM8 is not directed to children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16, in line with the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and similar laws.
If you are under 16, do not register or provide any information to us. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a user under 16, we will delete that account and associated data as soon as reasonably possible.
If you believe a user under 16 has registered, contact us at the email below so we can take action.
You are responsible for your account credentials and for all activity under your account. Use a strong, unique password and do not share your login.
You agree to use GGM8 lawfully and respectfully. You may not harass, threaten, impersonate others, spam, scrape, reverse engineer, or attempt to disrupt the Service.
Matchmaking scores, archetypes, and squad-fit labels are informational tools — not guarantees of skill, compatibility, or behavior. You interact with other players at your own risk.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, our community standards, or applicable law, including after reports from other users.
You may submit content such as profile information, game library entries, LFG posts, chat messages, and images you upload ("User Content"). You retain ownership of your User Content.
You grant the Operator a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, display, and distribute your User Content solely to operate and improve the Service (for example showing your profile in Radar, delivering messages, or moderating reports).
You represent that you have the rights to the User Content you post and that it does not infringe third-party rights or violate law.
We may remove or restrict User Content that violates these Terms or that we reasonably believe is harmful to the community.
GGM8 respects intellectual property rights. If you believe content on the Service infringes your copyright, you may send a notice under the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) to our designated agent:

Your notice should include: (1) identification of the copyrighted work; (2) identification of the infringing material and its location on the Service; (3) your contact information; (4) a statement of good-faith belief that use is not authorized; (5) a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and you are authorized to act; and (6) your physical or electronic signature.
We may remove or disable access to material that is the subject of a valid DMCA notice. Repeat infringers may have their accounts terminated. If you believe material was removed in error, you may submit a counter-notification as permitted by the DMCA.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not warrant uninterrupted, secure, or error-free operation, or that matchmaking results will meet your expectations. Third-party games, platforms, and links (e.g. Steam, Discord) are not under our control.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE OPERATOR OF GGM8 WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE OPERATOR'S TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO GGM8 IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (USD $100).
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by law. Nothing in these Terms limits liability where it cannot be limited by law (including fraud or willful misconduct).
You acknowledge that online interactions with other players carry inherent risks. The Operator is not responsible for the conduct of users on or off the platform.
You may delete your account at any time from Profile settings. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or if we discontinue the Service.
Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing provisions) will survive.
We may update these Terms when features, laws, or business practices change. Material changes will be communicated in the app or by email where appropriate.
Continued use after the effective date of updated Terms means you accept the revised Terms. If you do not agree, stop using the Service and delete your account.
